
Located in the southeastern part of the Czech Republic is the modern Jizni Morava tomato nursery, covering an area of nearly 15 hectares. As with any nursery, the availability of good-quality, reliable water is essential. Until recently, rainwater was the primary source used for this purpose. However, due to the increasing unpredictability of precipitation, the farm began searching for an alternative water source.
During this search, the team came across an existing pipeline more than three kilometers long that had been out of service for years. This pipeline carries water from a river that flows through the area. After extensive investigation, it turned out that the pipeline was still serviceable and, moreover, could be put back into use.
Subsequently, HTT, a local contractor and Agrozone dealer, approached the Aurora Group to ask if they could offer a suitable solution. After several discussions and a thorough analysis, a combination of various filtration and purification techniques was chosen to make the river water suitable for tomato cultivation.
The techniques used are:
The first three steps remove suspended contaminants from the water, such as shells, sand, and other solid particles. In the final step, the water is treated with ozone. This treatment not only ensures effective disinfection but also helps break down unwanted organic substances and other contaminants.

The entire system was designed and built by the Aurora Group. On-site installation was carried out by HTT, while Agrozone’s technicians were responsible for commissioning.
The result is a robust and future-proof water treatment plant that provides Jizni Morava with a reliable water supply for optimal tomato cultivation.

What to do before 2023 & 2027?
